Klassen Industries began as a family welding shop in rural Alberta with a simple goal: build livestock equipment that lasts. Today, we are a respected Canadian manufacturer of the Klassen barn, cattle barns, calf shelters, horse shelters, cattle oilers, Texas gates, cattle handling equipment, and more.
We serve farmers, ranchers, and acreage owners across Alberta and Saskatchewan, with equipment that is durable, practical, and trusted.
OUR ROOTS
Our history is rooted in prairie farming life, and our shop still stands on the original farmstead. Over the years, pigs, cows, sheep, and chickens have all wandered around the welding shop, a reminder of where it all began. Farmers needed cattle barns, and calf shelters tough enough to withstand Alberta’s harsh winters, along with durable loading chutes and feeders built to last. Klassen Industries rose to meet that need—starting with simple panels and calf shelters, and growing into a trusted name for strong, reliable farm equipment.
As our customer base grew, so did our product line. We expanded into full-scale cattle barns and horse barns. Before long, ranchers across Alberta and Saskatchewan came to rely on us not only for durable products but also for trusted advice and hands-on experience. That tradition continues today. We still design with the same guiding principle: build for the farmer, build for the long term.

OUR TEAM
Bruce Klassen
Bruce Klassen is the owner and founder of Klassen Industries, a business he started in 1999 by welding calf shelters with a focus on quality and durability. His hands-on approach and deep understanding of agricultural needs have helped Klassen Industries grow into a trusted name in the industry.
Alongside running the company, Bruce operates a cattle farm, staying closely connected to the agricultural lifestyle that inspired his work from the beginning. His leadership is grounded in experience, integrity, and a strong commitment to serving the farming community.
Bruce is a husband and father of four. He enjoys traveling, camping, and spending time with his family, especially in the great outdoors. Over the years, he’s also enjoyed volunteering and participating in mission work through his church, which continues to be an important part of his life.
Amber Proulx
Amber is the Sales Manager and Materials Coordinator at Klassen Industries, where she has been a valued team member since May 2017. She began her career on the welding floor and earned her Red Seal Journeyman Welding Certificate in 2019. With a professional background primarily in the oilfield industry, Amber has always had a strong passion for the agricultural community.
She transitioned into a sales role at the end of 2022 and enjoys working closely with customers to help improve their operations. Her combination of hands-on experience and technical knowledge makes her an invaluable resource to both the company and its clients.
Outside of work, you’ll find Amber at the lake, traveling, or cheering on her kids at their many extracurricular activities.
